GRR-Ripper

What is the GRR-Ripper® System?

The GRR-Ripper® System is a revolutionary precision woodworking hand pushing tool composed of different adjustable/detachable components that is used on the table saw, router table, shaper, jointer and band saw.  The tool utilizes multiple grooved non-slip pads to provide strong gripping and holding power for feeding a work piece through the cutting elements.  In the following gallery, click on each thumbnail to enlarge that graphic.

It is a push block for the table saw that feeds both sides of your stock without using your bare hands.

It is a push stick that rips as narrow as 1/4" (6.35mm) with balanced pressures to prevent burning and kick back at all times.

It is a hold down that replaces multiple feather boards during use.

It is a splitter that keeps both sides of your stock absolutely parallel to saw blade (regardless of changing between any thickness of saw kerfs) throughout the entire cutting process.

It is a safety guard – the saw blade passes through a “tunnel." It is a blade guard that the user holds, rather than a blade guard that is affixed to the back of the table saw, or one that hovers above it.

It is a tool (Model GR-200) that can be customized for edge jointing on the table saw with a perfect straight edge in one single pass.

It is a tool that can be configured for resawing on the table saw for narrow stock with repeatable accuracy without sanding.

It is a tool (Model GR-200) that can be customized for repeated cross-cutting of small pieces on the table saw without fence/stop adjustment.

Use it as a custom jig for router bits that do not have a pilot bearing (such as a bull nose bit) to obtain the full profile without snipe.

Use it as a custom jig for router bits that do not have a pilot bearing (such as a bull nose bit) to obtain the full profile without snipe.

Use it as a navigator to contour irregularly-shaped pieces when pattern routing.

The elimination of bare-hand feeding makes it the safest tool for manual feeding, with total protection for ALL of your fingers.

Fully customizable for different cutting requirements.

Unlike a conventional push block or push stick that pushes only one side of work piece, the GRR-Ripper® controls both sides of the work piece during feeding. It is a Protective Hand Pusher System.

There is no comparison between them.  The GRR-Ripper® System is far superior in controlling, capability, adaptability and safety.  We have prepared a slide show to illustrate how burning and kick back occurs, and the downside of using a regular push block or push stick.  This slide show will open in a separate window and requires no special plug-in.  You do need to have your Java enabled for your browser to view our slide show presentations.

John Lucas said "I would not have tried this if I had to rely just on hand holds or the regular push shoe".

Using a GRR-Ripper, Andrea can make safe and exact cuts.
