The precision drill guide aligns your drill perpendicular to the table saw surface so you can drill straight into your ZCI. It’s design directly lines up the splitter to your ZCI for accurate alignment with the blade. Installation is so simple, it’s foolproof.
MJ SPLITTER SteelPro products are available in
Thin Kerf (Orange) and Full Kerf (Blue).
The Automatic Kerf Keeper prevents the saw blade and splitter from binding while cutting hardwoods. When
tension and pressure build, the Kerf Keeper is pulled out automatically by the closing kerf. The Kerf Keeper travels
with the pinching kerf, and keeps it open reducing stress on
the saw blade and splitter.
When you see the Kerf Keeper deploy, that’s your sign to
turn off the table saw. Be alert. Be safe.
Get precise and virtually burn-free results with the MJ SPLITTER’s mini featherboard effect. Works while cutting materials such as MDF and plywood. Each side of the splitter is offset by several thousandths of an inch, giving you the the right amount of tolerance and pressure for your cut. Flip the splitter around so the + marking faces the fence to get the correct offset. Each + marking represents 0.003″, so +++ equals 0.009″. Precision and safety does come in small packages.
The MJ SPLITTER SteelPro has an ABS polymer shell reinforced with a solid stainless steel core. It’s able to take on the stress caused by many solid woods, greatly reduce the chance of kickback on your table saw, and virtually eliminate burning.
Our toughest splitter ever, utilizes the same patented technology of our original MJ SPLITTERs.
Use the included precision drill guide for foolproof installation and setup into your ZCI. Note: you will need 2″ of room from your blade to the end of your splitters for a double splitter setup. 1 1/8″ for a single splitter.
Use a single MJ SPLITTER when you have less than 2″ of room from your blade to the end of the splitter on your ZCI. You will need at least 1 1/8″ of space for this setup.
Use a double MJ SPLITTER setup while cutting softwoods, plywood, and MDF. Offset splitters will keep the keeper piece against the fence and the offcut piece slightly away from the blade. Prevents binding, burning, and kickback.
Use a splitter with a Kerf Keeper while cutting hardwoods. When binding occurs, the Kerf Keeper will be pulled out retaining the kerf to prevent binding and kickback. This is your indication to stop and rethink your cut.
