The GR-100+ is our baseline unit. It includes the Body, the three Legs, Handle, Balance Support and SafeRipIndex. Right out of the box it can rip as narrow as 1/4" (6.35mm) wide.

The GR-200PRO includes everything in the GR-100+ box along with two additional parts; the Adjustable Spacer and the Stabilizing Plate. These two items add to the GRR-RIPPER’s capabilities quite a lot. Lets look at a few things they can do.
The center leg on every GRR-RIPPER can be moved side to side to avoid contacting the blade no matter what width rip you need to cut, and the SafeRip Index lets you set the Center Leg so you never cut it. But depending on the GRR-RIPPER setup, when the rip cut is somewhere between 3” (75mm) and 3-1/2” (90mm), the outside leg may be in the blade path, and it is not adjustable.

With the GR-100+, you can turn it around and guide along the rip fence using the Balance Support. (the GRR-RIPPER is always against the rip fence on the table saw) This shifts all three legs 2” (50.8mm) away from the fence clearing the blade path. The drawback is that the Balance Support is no longer on the off-side of the GRR-RIPPER, so with narrow boards you will not have it on the tabletop as usual. This cut can be made safely, but it is not ideal.
With the GR-200PRO, the Adjustable Spacer can be added to rip fence side of your GRR-RIPPER and it guides the GRR-RIPPER along the fence offsetting the legs by 1” (25.4mm) This setup leaves the Balance Support on the off-side of the GRR-RIPPER 200PRO where it can be lowered if needed to fully support the cut. This is an important advantage.

The Adjustable Spacer can also be employed at the router table. By mounting it with the Green Grip facing up and as high on the GRR-RIPPER as possible, it creates a tunnel along the fence. This is highly useful for cuts where the bit may be above the stock and extends beyond the fence face such as bullnose bits or tongue cutters. The exposed section of the bit passes below the Adjustable Spacer without cutting into your GRR-RIPPER leg. These are just two common uses for the Adjustable Spacer, you will likely find more as you use it.

The Stabilizing Plate should be thought of as a replacement for a feather board. Anywhere you want to lock a part to the fence or table, the Stabilizing Plate holds parts, it does not push them into blades or bit openings as a feather board can. It also travels with the GRR-RIPPER, providing its control through the cutting process. At the saw it keeps narrow stock from wandering off the rip fence and at the router table it prevents the bit from pushing the stock away from the fence.

The Stabilizing Plate is reversable. One edge is straight for use on longer stock, and the other edge has a hook that can be fitted to the back of short parts to prevent them being ejected behind the GRR-RIPPER. And when cutting slots along the edge of parts, the Stabilizing Plate can be used on top of the part to keep it from riding up the blade. There are many other options for using the Stabilizing Plate for spacing wider rip cuts but these examples should get you started.
