THE WORLD’S SMARTEST TAPERING JIG
The MICRODIAL is the smartest tapering jig on the block. With built-in settings and GRR-RIPPER compatibility, you get the precision you want and the safety you need.
The MICRODIAL Tapering Jig was first conceived while Founder and inventor, Henry Wang, was prototyping the ZEROPLAY Miter Bars. The angles of the opposing wedges in the Miter Bars required surgically precise cuts. At the time, no tapering jig offered the precision and repeatability he needed. Henry embarked on the creation of the MICRODIAL, which would later be renowned as the world’s smartest tapering jig.
Craft impeccably tapered legs.
The passion of the woodworker is found in the details. It’s what makes your art come to life. Create 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-sided tapered legs with unmatched precision, control, and safety. Add even more detail and create custom profiles on the router table. Connect 1 or 2 GRR-RIPPER Advanced 3D Pushblocks for ultimate safety and stability.
Work Faster and smarter with MemoryLocks.
The MemoryLocks allow you to quickly set, lock and switch between angles, saving you the time it takes to build a one-off, single use jig.
Built in settings for quick and precise setups.
Use the Rise Over Run ColorMatch dial to set your taper between 0″ to 2″ with 1/16″ intervals. We provide a simple step-by-step taper formula so you can eliminate the guesswork.
Use the Degree Scale ColorMatch dial to set exact angles as low as 1/8th of degree, and expands from 0 to 10 degrees with the simple turn of the dial. Measurement markings are color-coded and lock in place, so you get the exact angle you want, quickly.
Indexed, built-in settings for incredibly accurate tapered cuts.
Set the desired angle or rise-over-run with the indexed ColorMatch Dials.
Lock your rip fence in the desired position.
Run MICRODIAL along the fence to feed your workpiece through the cut. Connect 1 or 2 GRR-RIPPER Advanced 3D Pushblocks for ultimate safety and stability.
Use it around your whole shop.
The GRR-RIPPER was built for the table saw. It acts as a moving blade guard, shielding your hands from the saw blade through the entire cut. Right out of the box, the GRR-RIPPER can cut stock down to ¼” x ¼”. Because it provides 3 directions of control, your cuts will be cleaner and more precise.
The GRR-RIPPER provides incredible command over your workpiece on the router table. Whether you’re using the fence or freehand routing, its powerful grip controls stock and protects your hands from dangerous spinning bits.
The GRR-RIPPER’s proprietary Green GRR-RIP material provides all the traction you need to properly flatten stock on the jointer. Because of its powerful grip, you can feed material over the cutter head without having to apply too much downward pressure. The GRR-RIPPER makes proper face-jointing technique easy, and safe.
The GRR-RIPPER's legs and main body maintain a constant 90 degree angle. It can be used on its side which is ideal for resawing on bandsaws. The GRR-RIPPER glides along the table top and applies even pressure against the fence with your hands clear of the blade. Even pressure means less blade drift, resulting in smoother cuts.

What is the maximum length I can cut?
It depends on the saw. The MICRODIAL cuts tapers by running along the fence. It must have enough of its edge in contact with the fence to remain straight from the start of the cut, with the Heel Hook at the tail end of your workpiece, and with your workpiece in front of the blade without touching it.
On what tools can I use the MICRODIAL??
The MICRODIAL is most commonly used on the table saw, but it can also be used on the router table and the bandsaw, if you have a fence on the right side of the blade. For more information about how to use the MICRODIAL, please refer to the instruction manual.
