The FitFinder Wave Reversible Glue Joint Bit cuts both mating halves of a self-aligning wave joint — and the patented FitFinder Center Platform pairs with the 1/2 Gauge to dial in the setup right the first time. Parts lock in line under clamping pressure with 60% more glue surface than a butt joint, giving up just 0.100" of material per cut. Stronger, straighter, and better looking — from cutting boards to doors to stairs.
Microjig Founder and inventor, Henry Wang, started out in his garage workshop in the late 90s. Faced with the challenge of cutting thin strips on a table saw, he sought to create a solution to cut small parts safely, accurately, and consistently. After countless engineering hours and dozens of prototypes, the Grr-ripper® pushblock was born.
Three directions of force.
Three directions of force provide essential stability for superior precision, safety, and control.
- Downward pressure stabilizes work piece on a flat surface.
- Inward pressure against the fence virtually eliminates kickback.
- Forward pressure feeds stock consistently through the cut to eliminate burning and blade marks.
Virtually eliminates kickback on table saws.
Kickback occurs when the workpiece strays from the fence and gets pinched between the saw blade and the fence. The rear teeth of the blade grab the workpiece, turning it into a dangerous projectile. The only way to avoid kickback is to maintain control of your workpiece through the entire cut.
The Grr-ripper+™ provides downward and inward pressure, keeping both sides of the cut parallel to the blade. This prevents the workpiece from straying from the rip fence, virtually eliminating kickback.

With MatchFit, you're not confined to pre-set clamp positions. Carve out your custom dovetail tracks on any wooden surface, enhancing your hold-down capabilities where you need them most. The Dovetail Track System gives you all the functionality of T-track, in less time and at a fraction of the cost.
Seamless dovetail integration: All MatchFit clamps slide into any 1/2" x 14º dovetail groove, transforming your setup into a unified clamping haven for unmatched efficiency.
Precision wave profile.
Setting up the Wave Bit on therouter table usinga straight edge.
Set the router table fence flush with thesetup ring on the bit. Hold a straight edge acrossthe throat openingand move the fence until the straight edge contacts the setupring at the top of theWave Bit.
Align all your stock with thecolor and grain as you want it to glue up. Mark aline across the top face of the parts to keep them oriented during cutting and glue up.
Milling using the Wave Bit on the router table
Set the router to 12,000 rpm and mill all the edges to be glued. Mill the first part with the mark facing up, the second part with the mark down, the third up, etc. to maintain your grain choices.
Flip the parts so the marks made earlier are all on top, apply a light coat of glue to each joint and clamp them together. The wave profile will keep the faces of all the parts flat as you clamp them.

The bit only removes about 0.10" (2.5mm) from each joint so the cut is easy to make and saves material.

The Decorative Wave profile makes the joint part of the look. Laminate contrasting species and every glue line becomes a flowing wave pattern — serving boards, trivets, stands, and risers that show off the joinery instead of hiding it.

What makes a glue joint bit "reversible"?
One bit, one setup, both halves of the joint. Cut the first board, flip the mating board, and cut again — the symmetric wave profile nests the two together perfectly, with no second bit and no second setup to drift.
How does the wave keep my glue-up aligned?
The interlocking profile registers the boards to each other, so parts can't slide out of line under clamping pressure. Cutting boards, doors, stair parts, wide panels — they clamp up flush and stay that way.
What does the FitFinder Center Platform actually do?
It's the patented reference machined into the bit that pairs with the FitFinder 1/2 Gauge to center the profile on your stock — the right setup the first time, instead of a scrap pile of test joints.
What stock thickness does it handle?
From 1/4" (6mm) up to 1-1/4" (32mm) thick.
Is it actually stronger than a plain glue-up?
The wave gives you 30% more glue surface than a butt joint — and a better-looking joint line than tongue and groove, with a wave that shows off at the ends of your glue-ups.
How much material do I lose per joint?
Just 0.100" (2.5mm) — versus the typical 3/16" to 1/4" other glue joints eat. Across a wide panel, that's real wood saved.
Which size do I need?
Two ways to buy it: the large bit has the Fence Boss — a positioning surface milled into the bit body that sets your router table fence fast and accurately — while the 3/4" bit carries a sealed bearing that takes the wave joint onto curved parts. Available in 1/2" and 1/4" shanks.
Can it do more than glue joints?
Yes — run it as a decorative edge profile, or cut wave surfaces for creative work. The joint is the day job; the profile is the play.
