Microjig Founder and inventor, Henry Wang, started out in his garage workshop in the late 90s. What's actually in the box?
The complete router table setup system: the FitFinder and its Upgrade Kit, the all-new Fence Boss system — adjustable magnetic stands plus the custom steel rule — and both Wave Reversible Glue Joint Bits, in 1/2" and 1/4" shank. Every piece is French-fitted into an EVA foam insert in the custom case, stored securely so you always know where your parts are.
What does the FitFinder set?
Bit height, any way you work. Set to the halfway point of your stock, transfer a measurement from another machine, or take one from a tool — whatever the reference, the FitFinder makes the height easy to hit.
What is the Fence Boss system?
The fence half of setup. Adjustable magnetic stands hold the steel rule at exactly the right height while you bring the fence in — set to the bearing of your bit or to any particular spot on the cutting edge. Works perfectly every time.
What else does the steel rule do?
Two more jobs: it zeros bits to your router table fence, making adjustments to specific dimensions easier, and it's designed to lay out the mounting hole locations for ZeroPlay Miter Bars.
Are both Wave bits really included?
Yes — the full pair. The 1/2" shank version cuts stock up to 1-1/4" thick and carries a machined top section for setting your fence with the Fence Boss. The 1/4" shank version cuts stock up to 3/4" thick and carries a top bearing for template work, curved parts, and shaped pieces.
What's the Center Platform for?
It's the patented reference machined into both Wave bits that pairs with your FitFinder — set the bit height right the first time instead of sneaking up on it with test cuts.
What's a reversible glue joint?
One bit, one setup, both halves. Cut the first board, flip the mating board, cut again — the wave profile joins them with more glue surface and self-aligning registration, so your glue-ups clamp flat and stay flat, with an elegant wave visible on the ends of cutting boards, trays, and presentation pieces.
